The Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area hosts thousands of migrating waterfowl each winter, usually in February, as they undertake their trip north.  At the migration's peak there may be more than 70,000 waterfowl.  Most of the waterfowl tend to be snow geese, but there are other species as well including tundra swans and Canada geese.
The Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area is owned and operated by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and paid for primarily with hunting license dollars.
